Start your day at Pasar Seni Sukawati, one of Bali’s most well-known traditional markets. You will find Balinese sarongs, wood carvings, traditional paintings, and handmade souvenirs at local prices. Arrive before 9 AM for the best experience, and don’t be afraid to bargain.

2. Visit Pura Puseh Batuan

A short drive from Sukawati, Pura Puseh Batuan is one of the oldest and most beautifully preserved temples in Bali, dating back to the 10th century. The temple is known for its dramatic Balinese architecture and intricate stone carvings covered in moss — a true reflection of ancient Balinese craftsmanship. Visit in the morning for a quieter atmosphere. A sarong is required to enter and is usually available to borrow at the gate.

After the market and temple, head to Simalu Kopi on Jalan Raya Guwang for a well-deserved break. The café offers a calm, quiet environment — a nice contrast to busier areas like Ubud or Canggu.
